What do you enjoy most about Realism?
Personally, I really love WWII and it's history. Realism gives me the chance appreciate it's history by simulating it in an online community. It's even greater to be in a Realism Unit where everyone has similar interests with WWII history. I began playing Realism in CoD2 in 2005. When the game released in 2005, I spent the first few months playing regular stock game play.
When I joined up on a realism server, it was a completely different experience. Everyone was playing tactically, communicating and the risk was so much higher. You either played as a team member, or you died trying to take everyone out on your own. Even if you played solo, you would probably end up getting kicked from the server for breaking classic CoD2 realism rules such as no running and gunning, no bunny hoping, no nade spaming, ect.
I've only played in DOD realism for a year now, but the sense of community is the same. It's really nice being a part of something that is much bigger than oneself.
